The Legend of Ochi

Set on the remote island of Carpatia, Yuri (Helena Zengel) lives with her father, Maxim (Willem Dafoe), who has taught her to be cautious of the mysterious creatures called Ochi in the forest. One day, Yuri finds an injured young Ochi and decides to return it to its family, embarking on a journey that challenges her father’s teachings and helps her discover her own courage and perspective. Along the way, she reunites with her mother Dasha (Emily Watson) and gains a deeper understanding of family bonds, trust, and the relationship with nature.
